Our Privacy Principles

DataProbity is a boutique consulting company that helps other business develop and implement privacy risk management and compliance strategies. Therefore, as a B:B business, we do not collect, share or sell personal information of consumer individuals. This privacy policy addresses the collection and processing of personal information of employees, employee candidates, contractors or B:B partners through our websites or through our business engagement with these individuals.

With privacy preservation always at the forefront of our business operations, we collect only the minimum personal information necessary when collecting from our employees, employee candidates, contractors or persons with whom we do business (‘business associates’), we strive to only collect the minimum amount of personal information necessary to enable us to conduct business with these individuals. Similarly, we seek to retain this personal information for only as long as necessary, from a business need or regulatory requirement standpoint.

DataProbity does not sell personal information of individuals. We share personal information of employees and contractors only to facilitate payroll and taxation, as indicated in our “Information that we may share” section below. We do not, nor will we ever intentionally, “share or sell” personal information with advertisers, marketing-related organizations or for cross-context behavioral advertising. As per our “Information regarding cookies and GPC” section below, our website does not use any optional cookies; however, our hosting provider, GoDaddy, or your browser may place essential cookies necessary for website functionality and performance when you visit our site. Additionally, we have implemented code to recognize the Global Privacy Code on your browser to prevent cookies from being enabled on websites that you visit.


Information that we collect

DataProbity does not collect personal information from consumers.

From employees, employee candidates and contractors, we may collect:

  • Emergency Contact Information
  • Social Security Number or EIN
  • Work history or Resume Information
  • Performance and work-related information

  • From business associates and potential clients, we may collect:

  • Pre-client inquiries

  • When DataProbity provides services to a client customer, any collection or processing of personal information that takes place on behalf of the client, and/or during the course of the client engagement, is governed by a separate and specific contract or Data Sharing Agreement with the client. Any client-related collection or processing of consumers', employees' or business associates' personal information is outside the scope of this privacy policy. Any questions or concerns related to this collection or processing must be directed to the client. DataProbity cannot assist in any individuals’ request when related to personal information collection or processing during a client engagement.


    How we use your personal information

    DataProbity processes employee and contractor information for payroll, tax reporting and human resource management purposes. We process employee candidate information to determine eligibility for employment. We process business associate and client information to facilitate communications and transactions with our business partners.


    Information that we share

    We do not intentionally share information with advertisers, marketing organizations or for cross-contextual behavioral advertising. We do not use cookies and periodically scan our site to ensure that cookies have not been enabled on our website. Additionally, we have enabled code to recognize the GPC ("universal opt-out") signals.

    If you are a past or current employee or contractor of DataProbity, we may confirm your employee status with other companies if you advise us in advance of the request. We will share requisite tax information with state and federal authorities, as necessary. In the event of a purchase of our consulting practice, we may share employee or contractor information as necessary. We also may share current business associate information, as relevant, as part of the sale. No personal information collected or processed on behalf of a client will be included in the sale.

    We do not use analytics tools or use optional cookies on our website. Therefore, we do not intentionally share any personal information with third-party vendors through the use of their tools. We periodically scan our website to ensure that analytics tools have not inadvertently been added to our site. While our website does not use any optional cookies, our hosting provider, GoDaddy, or your browser may place essential cookies necessary for website functionality and performance when you visit our site, We do not intentionally collect, nor make use of, any personal information regarding website visitors.


    Information regarding cookies and GPC

    DataProbity does not use optional cookies on our website. Our website is hosted at GoDaddy and our pages are not configured for cookies. We run scans on our website periodically to ensure that no optional cookies have inadvertently been enabled on our site. Additionally, DataProbity has incorporated code for the Global Privacy Code so that our website recognizes the GPC signal as you browse our website.


    How we protect your personal information

    DataProbity prioritizes the security and protection of personal information in our possession. We use industry-standard solutions for physical, technical and procedural controls and protections for personal information that we collect and process. We minimize the collection of sensitive personal information and put protocols and standards in place to protect the personal information that we retain.

    International Data Transfers

    We ensure that the proper protocols and procedures are in place to ensure compliance with international data sovereignty and data transfer legal requirements when such transfer is in scope for global data protection laws.
